2. How do i sign up for your hosting package?
Please view our hosting package on our website and click on ORDER NOW button for the package that you had selected.
3. I had just signed up online for your hosting plan. So what’s next?
After you have completed your order, you will receive an invoice with our payment details. Your hosting account will be created immediately after we receive your payment.
After we activate your account, you will receive a welcome e-mail with all the login information that you need for your hosting account. However, if your order includes new domain registration, it will take about 24-28 hour for the domain to be fully propagated.
4. How do i register my own domain name (.com, .net,.org,.info,.biz)?
First, you need to verify the availability of your preferred domain name on the first page of our website. If the domain name is listed as available, then you may proceed to register the domain name by filling up our signup form. Once we received your payment, we will immediately proceed with your domain name registration.
5. Who is eligible to register .com .my domain name?
Only registered company can register .com.my as you need to provide us your company name and company registration number to be submitted to mynic for registration.
6. What are the payment method accepted by you?
We accept Internet Banking, Direct Bank-In (Cash and Cheque) and Wire Transfer.
We also accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Master Card, Visa Electron, Delta Card and processed through MOLPay. MOLPay is our appointed online payment solution provider and "MOLPay" name will be shown on your card statement.

7. Are there any hidden cost?
Absolutely no hidden cost. All costs are stated clearly on our website. We do not hide fees in fine print or in our terms of service pages. The only costs that you may incurred only happen due to increased disk space or bandwidth usage. Pricing for such is plainly stated on our website. Serverfreak very often will allow you to upgrade your package in situations where you see an increase in disk space levels or bandwidth usage for the current month, and you do not want to pay for such additional usage.
8. Is there a trial period or money - back guarantee?
We offer a full 30 day money back guarantee. No questions asked. If you are not happy for any reason, Serverfreak service within 30 days of signup and your full setup fee and monthly costs will be refunded. The only exception to a refund, is if you violate Serverfreak Terms of Service(TOS) and new domain registration. Violations of the TOS usually are due to spamming, hacking, and illegal content.
9. Do you accept international orders?
Yes, we do accept international orders.
10. How long does it take to setup my hosting account?
We will setup your hosting account as soon as we received your payment confirmation, usually is within 1 hour during office hour. Orders received outside office hours will be processed on the same day or on the following business day.
11. Do you allow Adult, MP3, Warez,Gambling or illicit contents on your server?
No, we do not allow.If we find any of these contents in your account, your entire account will be subject to termination. We also forbid our servers to be used to send bulk email or SPAM email.
12. Why don’t you offer unlimited bandwidth?
Technically speaking, there is no such thing as unlimited bandwidth. Therefore, to promise you the availability of unlimited disk space or bandwidth would not be fair. Bandwidth and hard drives cost money, and no company can offer stable and reliable service and still make a profit by giving unlimited bandwidth and disk space.
If you see a web host promising to deliver unlimited bandwidth, beware that they may be deceiving you. If you check closely in their Terms of Service, you'll soon see exactly how much their "Unlimited" really means.
13. Can i request to have additional disk space and bandwidth?
Addtional disk space (or storage) and bandwidth can be added to your account at any time at reasonable charges. You can do this by writing an e-mail to us or open a ticket to inform us that you wants to add extra disk space or bandwidth or upgrade your account to a higher plan.
14. Other companies offer more bandwidth and disk space but at the same price you are charging. Why?
We realize that we are not the cheapest web hosting company and we also know we are nowhere near the most expensive either. 1. What is web hosting ?
Buying web hosting is similar to you renting a house. Web hosting is a space where you store all your files, emails, and to enable your website to be view over the internet.

2. What is the difference between cPanel and Direct Admin control panel?
Both in fact offer similar functions. We offer both to allow our customer to choose based on their personal preference which control panel they are more comfortable with.
3. Am I allowed to upgrade/downgrade my hosting package?
Yes, you can. You just need to login to our client area and click on the upgrade/downgrade button.
Downgrade option is only available once your current subscription expire ( during your renewal date.) However, you CAN upgrade at any time and our system will auto-calculate the difference that you need to top up.
3. What is the difference with Linux Shared Hosting and Windows Shared Hosting?
Your choice of which to choose will depend on what programming language you would like to run. If you will be running ASP or .NET, FrontPage, Access, MSSQL, or any of the other Microsoft proprietary technologies you will need to purchase Windows Hosting. However, if you only need to run PHP programming language, then you just need to subscribe to Linux Shared Hosting.
Please be noted that you DO NOT need to purchase windows hosting just because you are using windows operating system on your computer. Whatever operating system you use on your desktop does not have effect on your choice of hosting platform.

Domain Name FAQ
1. What is a domain name?
Domain name is like your home address. You need it so that people can find you on the web. Example of domain name for the website you are reading now is www.serverfreak.com
2. How long is domain registration process?
We will register your domain once your payment has been cleared into our bank account.
For domain registration made during working days Monday to Saturday (9.00 a.m-6.30pm), your domain registration will be process on the same day and be activated in less than an hour. However you need to allow 24- 48 hours for domain propagation.
However for mynic (.com.my and .my ) domain registration, it is subject to Mynic approval and will normally take 1 – 2 working days.
3. Can i register a domain name with Serverfreak without subscribing to your hosting service?
Yes , you can. After purchasing the domain from us, you just need to point the domain to your hosting provider.
4. I already have a domain with another registrar. Can i transfer my domain to Serverfreak ? What is the condition?
Yes you can transfer it to us. Transferring your Domain Name will add one year to its current expiry date. You will be charged 1 year fees for it (RM 40)
You need to make sure:
a) Your domain is not yet expired
b) Your Domain Name must be at least 60 days old. You cannot transfer a Domain Name if it has been registered in the last 60 days. Please check your Domain Name Creation date by typing whois.sc/yourdomain.com
5. How much do i need to pay for domain transfer?
We do not charge any fee for domain transfer. However you need to pay the Renewal Fee to transfer the domain name to us.
6. What do i need to provide Serverfreak if i would like to transfer my domain to Serverfreak?
a) Make sure your domain is unlocked
b) Please request the EPP/Authorization code from your provider
c) Make sure the admin email address for the domain is your email (this is because you will need to approve the domain transfer once we initiate it)
